University Recreation inspires, educates, and empowers the Seattle University community to live happier, healthier, and more successful lives.
UREC offers several services, programs and facilities to enable the Seattle University community to recreate safely and positively. So, whether you like to hike, shoot hoops, jog, play rugby, or lift weights, we have something for you!
Facilities are available for students, faculty, and staff for informal recreation. If you just want to play pick-up basketball, exercise, strength train, or swim for fitness, then you can access our facilities to do so.
The Fitness Program consists of Group Fitness and Personal Training. Group Fitness Classes operated on a quarterly basis and are complimentary to members of the Eisiminger Fitness Center and include offerings such as cycling, Cardio Dance, Yoga, Pilates, Cardio Kickboxing and more! Personal Training offers focused attention between you and a nationally certified Personal Trainer. We offer pricing for Buddy Training and 1:1 Training.
Intramural Sports offer students, faculty, and staff the ability to play team and individual sports like flag football, soccer, softball, basketball, and many more.
Sport Clubs are more specialized than intramural sports and offer individuals the ability to join with others who have shared interests in a common activity like rugby, soccer, equestrian, or baseball. They may compete against other universities and/or institutions.
OAR provides experiential learning opportunities for students through outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, climbing and more. The Outdoor program also offers outdoor equipment rentals, discounted climbing gym access, and seasonal lift tickets for current students, staff and faculty.
